Whaz Up!!!
Hows everyone?
Managed to get back to NZ ok after some long bus rides, waits in airports and flights and have since managed to eat at least a dozen pies, several feeds of fish and chips and get hammered 4 nights out of 6 already.
Any news for me on Paddys Day. I hear that all was well and see a few photos of Lima but it'd be nice to see some of Cusco and La Paz if anyone has some.
Right then folks, im off to the north for some fishing and surfing.
Talk to ya!!
St Patricks Day songs
Hi all,
Does anyone have any must have songs for St Patricks Day - trying to get our lists together so any input to help us in finding the best songs just name them for us.
Thanks
Dave

Bar Etiquette
Bar Etiquette
This is a short guide to how to behave while sitting at a bar. It has been compiled after being repeatedly disappointed with customers while working as a barman in hostels in South America. The latest generation of traveler has obviously not been educated in this etiquette to the same extent as previously. I blame the rat-race nature of their source countries for this lack of education. The art of sitting at a bar for hours and possibly days is about to be lost. I hereby make a stand and try to commit to record what I have learned so that it may be passed on.
Approaching a Bar
Did you know?
Did you know that Loki Cusco currently has the Highest Owned Irish bar in the world, only to be exceeded by Loki La Paz which is still under construction.
Paddys Day in Loki
Saint Patrick’s Day (March 17th)
Legend has it that Saint Patrick rid Ireland of the snakes and converted the heathen pagan masses to Christianity.
Saint Patrick’s Day is commemorated the world over by the Irish and wannabe Irish by getting hammered and reverting back to Paganism. So where better to celebrate this Day of Debauchery than in the home-place for the Pagan god of Mischief, Loki Hostels in Cusco, Lima and La Paz.
With 3 bona fida Irish boys and two adopted ones organizing the proceedings it is sure to be the place to be this Saint Patrick’s Day. Featuring a full Irish Breakfast to line the stomach, a lorry-load of Jameson and a liberal sprinkling of Irish Tunes and mayhem we invite all you Paddy´s and wannabes to Loki in Cusco, Lima and La Paz to celebrate this wonderfully crazy day.
Where are all you ex LOKIites??
There are plenty of you signed up, where are you all and what are you doing post LOKI days...well, maybe ¨post LOKI nights¨ is a better way of putting it!!!
Belated Happy New Year
hi all - apologies for late wishes but no internet on achill island for the new year - great place to spend it though and not short of its characters in the pubs at night.
I hope everyone had a great night bringing in the new year and that 2007 will be a great year for you all.
